Smart Containers Communication Takeoff
For every step in our companies growth plan, there is the right set of tools we want to use to ensure the optimal communications flow. In the following article, we want to provide you with a short overview about the future of Smart Containers’ communications planning.
When we prepared for our ICO at the beginning of 2018, we had to adjust to the communication channels that are most sought after in the ICO landscape. The market offers a myriad of communication platforms, and all of them come with pros and cons. Some situations force a specific approach — the ICO certainly did force us to follow a catch-all approach.
Telegram offers quick and robust communication with a large audience. It became more or less a standard in the ICO economy to provide Telegram groups for every project. It got so powerful that member numbers of Telegram groups even became part of some ICO participants due diligence procedure.
Without going into details too much, there are also downsides to Telegram groups. Scam attempts, misinformation, unsolicited advertising, spam, you name it. These factors and the demand for instant interaction and the expectation of answers 24/7 puts a fair amount of pressure on the team members. The groups have to be monitored 24/7 to make sure they are operated correctly and stay free from undesired content. The maintenance is very time consuming and resource intense.
As a running company, we have to focus on what is our primary goal and an aligned interest with our investors and token holders: grow company value and by that token value.
It is time to adjust the communications channels for the next phase of our companies’ development. Therefore we close the Telegram groups and will use Telegram only for one-way information broadcasting. The now existing t.me/smartcontainers will be transformed, but all previous messages are readable in the history. @Smartcontainers will be the only official Smart Containers Telegram group by October 1. All other channels we own will get closed.
Of course, there are still other ways to communicate with us. If you follow us on Medium, Reddit and Twitter you will always get our information first handed and have the possibility to interact. Reddit offers comments on everything posted and also the option for users to post their content in our Subreddit.
